Verse 1

Now I've had my share of hard times on life's hi'way but I've pulled myself up through them all.
I've managed my way when my road got too rough, or Whenever I'd taken a fall.
When the goin' gets hecktic or the road gets too rough and I find myself feelin'uptight.
I replay the good times in the back of my mind and it makes everything seem alright.

Like a beautiful place warm sun on my face and no place I'm need'n to be.
Or a line in the lake, a tune in my head in the shade of a sycamore tree.
A warm sandy beach with a drink in my hand my sweet love lying here next to me.
As long as I'm livin' with memories like these it's a good life I'm livin' ya see.

When I look in the mirror and all I see are wrinkles and tangles of grey.
It takes all I got just to put on a smile, I can't seem to face the new day.
My tail is draggin' my energy's saggin' my will to keep going is gone.
I can always fall back on the good times gone by when I'm finding it hard go on.

When lifes' little problems build up in your head and your're stretched out as far as you'll go.
And your finding it hard to put on a smile never thought life could bring you so low.
Rack it all up to bad luck or bad timing or just the way things came to be.
Recall the good times you might have once had it always does wonders for me.
